This book reveals a journey of a personal struggle with faith and life. That took me from turmoil to triumph. I assure you that most of you will be able to relate, grow and or heal in your journey if you take the tools given in this book and apply them when and where needed. This journey will begin with my humble beginning as an innocent child but will highlight when and where the true onset of my trauma began and how I made it through. This book will take you through struggles of violence, abuse, neglect, and grief, but you will witness just how God still works and NOT according to my plans. You will get some real-life details on storms in my life that were meant to destroy me instead God restored me. You will meet a few characters in my life that may have left scars or may have even bruised me. Yet none of them broke me. In this book you will see that no matter what storm you are in, you can still come out triumphant. So, follow me on the road to recovery, restoration and healing and witness some of the scars that made me.
We aim to educate and inspire people to embrace mental care and self-care as essential parts of their daily lives. Our vision is to bring light to the importance of taking care of yourself while managing life’s many demands. Just as the willow’s roots run deep, grounding it through storms, we want to show individuals how to root themselves in self-care practices so they can stand tall, even in adversity.
